Activities and ConferencesThe Institute of Value Management, Australia organises a national conference generally every second year, and the conference generally provides both the time and place for the Institute's Annual General Meeting (AGM). In years when no conference is held, there may be a session of continuing professional development (CPD) held in association with the AGM. Sometimes a CPD session is arranged during a year. In some earlier years, conference papers were produced as hard copies and it may be possible to secure copies of these on request. Since this web site was commissioned in 2000, some conference papers have been provided on the site. Bellerive Cricket Ground, Hobart The theme was “Balancing the Scorecard -
putting the focus on People Values in decision making” and many
papers dealt with application of Value Management to development of sensitive
community infrastructure or facilities, with involvement of local and state
governments. The conference papers have been produced on a copyright CD
which may be purchased for $ 85, which includes packaging and postage
within Australia. Outside Australia, despatch will be by AIR MAIL
and the price is AUD $ 90. Cheques must be payable in Australian
dollars and drawn on a bank trading in Australia. A discount is
available to Institute members, who should check prices with the Hon Secretary.
In all cases, payment must accompany an order, which should be sent to the
Institute’s Hon Secretary/Treasurer. 2000
