Conference Papers and Additional Publications

The Institute of Value Management, Australia has organised national conferences going back over many years. The present intention is that they be held every second year. Since this web site came on line in 1999, conference papers (and sometimes some photos) have been made available on or through the web site. Sometimes material from a continuing professional development activity is also available in this way.

In some earlier years, conference papers were produced as hard copies and it may be possible to secure or reprint these on request.

Eric Adam: "Value Management - cost reduction strategies for the 1990s" 

Eric was the Institute's first (and to date its only) Honorary Life Fellow. He died in May 2001. This book was published in 1993 by Longman Professional and the Institute has obtained a small number of remaining copies. It can make them available to people with a genuine interest in Value Management. Eric writes about specific cases (many of them in Australia) drawn from his experience in using Value Management to enhance the performance of businesses that engaged him over a life time of distinguished service. Companion Volume to the Australian and New Zealand Standard

Standards Australia has commenced a review of the Australian and New Zealand Standard on Value Management AS/NZS 4183: 1994, with a view to updating any necessary aspects since the initial Standard was developed and released in 1994. The Institute's College of Fellows has committed to produce a companion volume, to take the form of a VM Handbook, for parallel release with the anticipated new Standard. No timetable has yet been established for the review and subsequent release. Copies of the present Standard may be obtained from Standards Australia and purchase enquiries should be addressed to sales@standards.com.au
