Institute's Rules of Association - 
Rule 1  -   Introduction

 

1          INTRODUCTION

1.1      Name

The name of the Association is INSTITUTE OF VALUE MANAGEMENT, AUSTRALIA INCORPORATED hereinafter referred to as “the Institute”, a non-profit organisation incorporated under the Australian Capital Territory Associations Incorporation Ordinance 1953.

1.2      Rules of Association

These are the Institute’s only Rules of Association.   The Rules of Association may be altered and/or rescinded upon the vote of a majority of members eligible to vote taken at a General Meeting.

A committee of members will be formed for the purpose of implementing the wishes of the membership with respect to the alteration, rescission or amendment to the Rules.

The committee so formed is required to present such changes of the Rules for approval by the Board of Management prior to the changes taking effect.

The Public Officer is to ensure that the amended Rules of Association are lodged as required with relevant authorities and a copy circulated to all members.

1.3      Sphere of Activity

The sphere of activity is in every State of the Commonwealth of Australia and internationally wherever Value Management systems are actively used in projects, products, processes and management applications.
