CURRENT OFFICE BEARERS (2008-10)The Institute's Rules of Association provide for an elected Board of Management, which is "responsible to members for the conduct of the affairs of the Institute" (Rule 4.1), and for the Board to have an Executive which is "responsible to the Board for carrying out the day-to-day business of the Institute" (Rule 4.1.1). Initial contact with the Institute should be made through its principal administrative officer (the Honorary Secretary and Treasurer): Mr John Fullagar tel +61 2 9498 1984 The Institute requests that you make initial contact by post, phone or fax, so that the Secretary's e-address does not need to be displayed here and therefore cannot be picked-up by routines that auto-scan websites trolling for e-addresses that can be used for direct mail campaigns. Once initial contact has been made and the Institute has established that a person's contact is for genuine Institute business, most subsequent interaction will make use of e-mail. This request that you use a two-stage contact strategy has been in addition to use of on-line internet security software. Fortunately, the practice has proved effective in eliminating the previous flooding of the Secretary's e-mail "in-box" with a procession of inappropriate "junk" mail, some of which was quite offensive.
